African Dream Project Launched in Namibia

Windhoek, Namibia, February 11, 2015- The Namibian Volleyball Federation "NVF" announced the official Launch of the African Dream Project in 4 different centers across the country.  


 NVF President Joel Matheus visited the different centers Together with the director of Development Commission, to check the facilities needed to implement the project.


The centers are located in the major regional centers of the country. The towns and date of launch are as follows:


- Katima Mulilo (Zambezi Region) 09 February 2015

- Rundu (Kavango Region) 10 February 2015

- Oshakati (Oshana Region) 11 February 2015

- Windhoek (Khomas Region) end of February


All opening ceremonies were attended by local dignitaries such as majors, regional governors and government sports officers. Local media covered the events and the national television broadcaster was present at two of the sessions.


 "The launch of this project has created a level of national awareness and visibility of Volleyball that has been unthinkable in the recent past," NVF General Secretary Gunter Rust said.


 "This is exactly the kind of initiative that we needed to give our grassroots development and the kind of boost it needed." He added.
