Epic competitions at Mauritius Beach Volley tour ahead of last leg

Mauritius, March 11,2017- The Mauritius Beach Volley National League 2017, which has attracted 15 teams from the man's side and twelve ladies team, will come to an end on the 19th March on the public beach of Flic en Flac after two epic legs.

 

On the man's side, champion 2016 Gilbert Alfred and Akash Doorbraz finished top after the first leg after beating Eric Louise and Evans Sauteur during the tie-break. But, on last Sunday during the 2nd leg, they got beaten by the same team during in a tie-breaker (15-8, 13-15, 6-11).

 

By this victory, Louise and Sauteur have the same points (180) like Alfred and Doorbraz but lead the ranking with a better ration of points for the two legs (1.3660 against 1.3113).

 

So, the third and last leg will be very tough for both teams and they will have to secure a place in front of each other to be champion 2017.

 

On the ladies side, champions 2016 Ange Ramdoss and Vanessa Chellumben won both legs and have to be in minimum in the quarter finals in the third leg  to retain thier title.

 

But the Team of The Year 2016 had to battle in the final during the second leg to grap victory against Nathalie Letendrie-Laurette et Rachel Christine. After losing the first set by 9-15, Ramdoss and Chellumben put their experience and physical form to equalise by 15-12 before winning the tie-break by 11-5.
