2017 Men's African Club Championship- Day 2 Tunis, Tunisia, March 18, 2017- Heavy favourites, Ahly of Egypt began their campaign in the 2017 Men's African Club Championship in the right way after they overpowered Bafia of Cameroon 3-0 (25-9, 25-12, 25-13) in their first match to top Pool A with hosts Esperance of Tunisia who were in rest in day 2 of the competition held at Taraji Hall in Tunis, Tunisia on Saturday. Swehly team of Libya proved their consistency one year after they finished in the final 4 to hammer Finances (Benin) 3-0 (25-5, 25-12, 25-23) to top Pool B. Swehly was supported by their audience who arrived the same day from Libya. Bourj Bouaririj of Algeria became the first to set the second victory as they beat Kibungo University (Rwanda) 3-1 (23-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-8) when they came froma set behind to win the match. In the same pool Douanes of Burkina Faso overcame the sluggish start to achieve first win over Police (Botswana) 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-22, 25-21).
