Rwanda claim bronze at Commonwealth Games beach VB Tour

Kigali, Rwanda, July 23, 2017- The Rwandan beach Volleyball women team captured the bronze medal at Commonwealth Games held in Kigali, Rwanda this weekend.

 

 Rwanda was drawn in Pool of 4 teams in the first round along with New Zeeland, Trinidad and Tobago and St Lucia.

 

  Rwanda won their 1st match against Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 before they lost 0-2 against New Zealand in the second match. They then clinched the second victory 2-0 against St.Lucia to qualify to the quarterfinal. 

 

 In the quarterfinal Rwanda beat Vanuatu 2-0 before they lost in the semifinal against Australia 0-2.

 

In the bronze medal match the Rwandans overcame Scotland 2-1.
