Cameroon organise Beach Volleyball Tour

Douala, Cameroon, July 26, 2017- Cameroon has put their name on the beach volleyball map with an international beach volleyball event held from June 29 to July 2 in Douala. Jointly organized by the Cameroon Volleyball Federation in partnership with the American Based Sports event company EZ SPORTS.

 

 

 

 The tour was a 4 days event split between two days of beach volleyball clinic for players and referees; then two days of competition.

 

 Over 70 athletes signed up for the event in both genders coming from Cameroon, The Democratic Republic of Congo, France, Canada and USA.

 

 After two days of clinics, 10 teams we selected in both men and women categories to compete in a double elimination tournament directed by the President of the Cameroon Beach Volleyball Federation, Mr. Olivier Kombo. The organizer of the event is a Cameroonian born American Beach Volleyball player, Easy Liese based in Miami Florida. Liese ran the clinics for the players together with another American based Professional player Kim Amerell.

 

The referees who signed up for the event benefited from a two-day expert training seminar from Dr. Rodrigue Deboue, who is an international FIVB referee with specializes in Beach volleyball. The referees concluded their training by sanctioning the event with a practical session.

 

EZ sports is looking to organize more events as such in Cameroon and in Africa with the ambition to grow beach volleyball and make it a lovable sports for the loving people of Africa.
