Nigeria and Ghana through to Women's African Championship

Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, September  2017- Nigeria and Ghana clinched the qualification tickets to the finals of CAVB Women's African Nations championship to be organised in Yaoundé, Cameroon, October 7 to 14, 2017.

 

 The qualifier was hosted in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire with the participation of 3 national teams namely the hosts, Nigeria and Ghana.

 

 Nigeria won the qualifiers with 2 straight sets victories against Ghana 3-0 (26-24, 25-12, 25-10) and Ghana 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-7).

 

 Ghana came second after a single victory over Cote d'Ivoire 3-1 (25-17, 25-16, 16-25, 25-18) and a defeat against Nigeria.
