Nigeria down Cameroon in epic tiebreaker as Egypt take on Congo at Men U21

2018 Men's U21 African Nations Championship- Day 1



 Abuja, Nigeria, September 12, 2018- Hosts Nigeria rebounded back bravely from two set behind to overcome the solid Cameroon team 3-2 (24-26, 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-9) in the 2018 Men's U21 African Nations Championship's opening in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday.


 The most exciting of the competition's day 1 lasted 130 minutes of thrilling actions where Cameroon started ahead in the first two sets before Nigeria came back with the optimum performance starting from the third set to win the epic tiebreaker


 Pool A featured also an easier victory for the heavy favourites, Tunisia against Rwanda 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-18).


 In Pool B defending champions Egypt took on RD Congo 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-23), while Morocco beat Chad 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-16)


Nigeria battle it out against Rwanda on Day 2 Pool A match, while as Cameroon combat Tunisia in a thrilling face off. Meanwhile Morocco meet Congo RD and Egypt face Chad in Pool B.

             Tunisia v Rwanda 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-18)

Pool B: Morocco v Chad 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-16)
