Egypt and Tunisia book World champs tickets and meet for Men's U21 final

2018 Men's U21 African Nations Championship- Semifinal

 

 

 Abuja, Nigeria, September 16, 2018- Egypt and Tunisia figured out another classic final as they captured respective wins against Rwanda and Morocco respectively in the semifinal of the 2018 Men's U21 African Nations Championship to book World Championship tickets.

 

 Tunisia overcame Morocco 3-0 (25-12, 28-26, 25-20) in the first semifinal held at Abuja Hall on Sunday to book the first ticket to the FIVB Men's U21 World Championship in 2019.

 

 Egypt outclassed Rwanda 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-22) to pick the second final berth and play against arch rivals Tunisia in the final on Wednesday.

 

In the play off 5 to 8 places, Nigeria overwhelm Chad 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-15), while Congo RD surprised Cameroon 3-1 (25-14, 18-25, 25-11, 25-18). Now winners Nigeria and RDC meet for the 5th position. Meanwhile losers Chad face Cameroon for the 7th place.
