2015 All Africa Games- Men Day 10
Brazzaville, Congo, September 12, 2015- Dark horses Rwanda became the fourth team to qualify to the semifinal of Men's Volleyball competition at All Africa Games after they overcame Cape Verde 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18) in Pool B match held at Henry Elende Hall in Brazzaville, Congo on Saturday.
Rwanda join the already qualified Algeria form the same pool and Congo Brazzaville and Egypt from Pool A to the final 4 of the competition where Egypt meet Algeria in epic North African derby and Rwanda face Congo Brazzaville.
The last day of the preliminary round showed also Algeria overcoming Ghana 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-23) to top the pool, while Cameroon finished their campaign victorious against Seychelles 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20).
The women competition featured victories for the qualifiers to confirm their positions as Cameroon beat Nigeria 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20) to lead Pool B followed by Kenya who won also their match against Cape Verde 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 27-25).

Algeria v Ghana 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-23)
Algeria continued their winning streak with a 5th in raw victory over struggling Ghana 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-23) in 93 minutes. Ghana who needed at least 2 sets to qualify, played their best in the first set to win 25-21, before the Algerian team recovered to win three consecutive sets to improve their win- loss ratio to 5-0 with 14 points, while Ghana dropped to 3-2.
Akram Dekkiche led the Algerian team with 16 points followed by Isalm Ould Charchali 15. Issah Alhassan led Ghana with 16 points followed by Richard Amanor 13.
Rwanda v Cape Verde 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18)
Rwanda set their Pool B third victory over Cape Verde 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18) in 74 minutes in Pool B. Rwanda improved their win- loss ratio to 3-2 to qualify to the semifinal as second of pool B, while cape Verde dropped to 1-4.
Christophe Mukunzi led the winners with 19 points, while Helio Sanches led the losers with 8 points.
Cameroon v Seychelles 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20)
Cameroon overpowered Seychelles 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20) in a thrilling encounter lasting 111 minutes. After Cameroon won the first set, Seychelles played their best to win the second set and draw 1-1, when Cameroon regained the rhythm to win the third and 4th sets fir a 3-1 win. Cameroon improved their win-loss ratio to 3-2 to finish at the third position of the pool, while Seychelles dropped to 0-5.
Bern Dolegombai led Cameroon scorers with 17 points, while Seychelles's scorer was Rodney Ah-Kong with 15 points.
