Ahly Beni Ghazi in intense warm up for Men's African Club Champs

Cairo, Egypt, March 21, 2016- Libya's champions Ahli Beni Ghazi put the last touches of their preparations for the 2016 Men's African Club Championship due to start in Cairo, Egypt at Cairo Stadium Complex on Wednesday.


The Libyan team had a long training camp in Cairo since March 3 as the first team to arrive to the competition site. In a 3 week programme, the Libyan champions played 4 matches as they won all of them 3-0 against Zohour, 3-0 against Eastern Company, 3-2 v Tayaran and 3-0 v Shams from the Egyptian League.


Ahly Beni Ghazi overcame the hard political situation in Libya to participate in this competition with highly spirited generation who want to achieve positive results.


 The team won the local Libyan League 10 times, 3 local cups and 2 super cups, but they are still searching for their first continental title.


 The African Club Championship feature 24 teams competition for the trophy and the FIVB World Championship's ticket in a ground breaking tournament March 23 to April 1, 2016.
