2017 Women’s U20 African Nations Championship- Final

 

 

 Cairo, Egypt, January 30, 2017- Egypt claimed 2017 Women’s U20 World Championship’s ticket after they overcame Tunisia 3-1 (25-22, 25-6, 23-25, 25-9) in their second decisive game at 2017 Women’s U20 African Nations Championship in the Olympic Center in Cairo, Egypt on Sunday.

 

 Egypt already had won the first match in straight sets (25-7, 25-20, 25-10) on Saturday.

 

 After the match CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani honoured the winners with the cup and the gold medals, and Tunisia with the silver medals.

 

 After Egypt won easily the first and second sets, the Tunisian team fought aggressively in the third set using their solid blocks and the disturbance in the Egyptian defense to narrow the score to 1-2. Again the Egyptian team used the quick attacks through Mariam Metwally in the fourth set to win the match and capture the gold medals.
