Tunisian clubs start victorious at Men's African Club Championship opening

2017 Men's African Club Championship- Day 1

 

 

 Tunis, Tunisia, March 17, 2017- Tunisian teams started victorious in the 2017 Men's African Club Championship opening as hosts Esperance beat Ahly Beni Ghazi of Libya 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-18) in Pool A, while Etoile du Sahel played consistently to trounce Kenya Prisons 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-17) in Pool D.

 

 In the show of the day Assarya of Libya fought for 150 minutes to clinch a thrilling victory over University of Rwanda in a tight tiebreaker 3-2 (25-20, 24-26, 26-28, 25-14, 17-15) in Pool C.

 

 Algeria's Borj Bouaririj started their campaign in the best way as they beat AS Douanes of Burkina Faso 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-17) in the same pool.

 

 FAP of Cameroon stared aggressively to overcome Alnahda of Sudan in 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 26-24)in Pool B.
