 Tunis, Tunisia, March 26, 2017- Ahly Egypt qualified to the final of the 2017 Men's African Club championship after they pulled off a difficult victory over Algeria's Bourj Bouaririj 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 30-28, 25-18) in exciting face off lasting 105 minutes at Taraji Hall in Tunis, Tunisia on Sunday.

 

 Ahly qualified to the final to meet the winner of the ongoing match between Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia and Swehly of Libya. Bourj face the loser for the bronze medal.

 

Middle blocker Abdelhalim Abou led Ahly scorers with 18 points while opposite Mahdi Hachemi led Bourj and match scorers with 19 points.

 

 Ahly went easily to win the first set widely 25-15 before the performance declined allowing Bourj to enter the match gradually as they won the set 25-23 after they made a fantastic come back. Bourj continued their good combinations led by the setter Yacine Hakmi as they were one point ahead to win the third set 24-22, but Ahly regained their rhythm to win the long set 30-28. Ahly won the fourth set comfortably with the high spirit they played to clinch the final berth.
