Tunis, Tunisia, March 26, 2017- Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia booked the second ticket to the final of the 2017 Men's African Club Championship after they took off Libya's Swehly in the second semifinal in a match stopped at 14-7 in the tiebreak after it was 2-2 in sets (25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 18-25) due to spectator intervention with political signs.

The CAVB Control Committee decided to consider the result for favour of Etoile due to the withdrawal of the Libyan team one point ahead of the finish.

Etoile face Ahly in the final of the competition on Monday, while Swehly meet Bourj Bouaririj for the bronze Medal.

Etoile was the better side at the beginning of the match and succeeded to dominate through the strong spike service which wasn't tolerated by Swehly team, so they won the first set and continued the same rhythm in the second set to lead 2-0. Swehly played another game in the third set when they succeeded to use the combinations led by the setter Abdelrahman Daghdanna to win two consecutive sets and extend the match to the tiebreak.

Swehly players committed several mistakes at the beginning of tiebreak allowing Etoile to lead 5-0 and 8-2 at court turn. Swehly recovered so late until Etoile led 14-7 when the spectators send some political expression to disturb the court. After 15 minutes Swehly players refused to continue as the referee closed the match until the control Committee decided the victory for the Tunisian team.
