Monastir, Tunisia, April 8, 2017- Prisons of Kenya recovered well from their opening pool B defeat to Ahly to beat Marsa of Tunisia 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 26-24) at MZALI hall in day two of the 2017 Women’s African club championship on Saturday.
Prisons improved their win- loss ratio to 1-1, while Marsa became also 1-1.
Prisons started intensely with impressive spikes from their attackers and unlike their opponents – the Kenyans had prolific of fast and persuasive attacking options, and they were an endless danger throughout the first set, it took them an easy ride to complete the first set with a striking 25-12 points.
Marsa got the second set under way, however the Kenyans who were fighting to avoid second defeat made it two sets in 25-15 margin.
Marsa returned for the third set with transformed persistence and Prisons almost fell in that set but their consistence and resilience continue to dominate the opponents, however they encountered difficulty from the Tunisians who had their best set scoring 24 points
