Monastir, Tunisia, April 11, 2017- Kenya’ Prisons capped off its first round matches in the 2017 women’s African club championship with a victory over university of Zimbabwe 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-9) at Hellal Hall on Tuesday to finish second of Pool B following Ahly.
It is Prisons third victory in the competition to finish with 3-1 record, while the losers dropped to 0-4.
The Kenyans dominated the first set, limiting university’s chances to 15points. In the second set Prisons came with more purpose wining 25-7, when Prisons lost their opening match against Ahly of Egypt afterwards their morale was boosted with three wins along the way.
A time-out was called by University’s technical bench in hopes of recovering in the third set. Five time winners Prisons showed their prowess against a team that hardly dominate and wins the third set 25-9 to come second in pool B.
