Monastir, Tunisia, April 11th 2017 – Pipeline topped pool C in the 2017 women’s African club championship after sweeping Bafia 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-14) in Pool C on Tuesday.


Pipeline remained unbeaten after they finished Pool matches with a win- loss ratio of 3-0, Bafia become 0-3 at the bottom of the pool.


This victory signals Pipeline strong approach to the title to won 7 times. Getting down to 25-15 set win in the first set, Pipeline reconfirmed their ambitions came more stronger in the second set leading 16-4 going into the second technical time out in the second set.


Coming back, Bafia tried to secure few points, but the Kenyans adapted great attitude in defense with Janet Wanja passing accurately. Bafia only scored a point when Pipeline was 20 points ahead to make 21-6 and gracefully win the set 25-7.


In the early stages of the third set Bafia emerged strong leading 3-1 before Pipeline closed it to 3-3.  Then Pipeline took the lead to 10-6 and then dominates on to win the set 25-14
