 Yaounde, Cameroon, October 7, 2017- Veteran Fatou Diouck led Senegal to overcome the struggling RD Congo team 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 25-15) in the opening match of the 2017 Women's African Nations Championship at Palais des Sports Hall in Yaounde, Cameroon on Saturday.

 

 The Senegalese opposite attacker emerged as the match scorer with 12 points beside her role in leadership of the team. Congo's opposite Margot Mutshima scored also 12 points helping her team to come back several times during the match.

 

 Senegal won hardly the first set before the Congolese came back to draw 1-1 before Senegal used again their better block to stop the opponent attacks to win the third and fourth set and clain the victory in 91 minutes,
