Moim led Kenya against fighting Senegal

 Yaoundé, Cameroon, October 8, 2017- Experienced outside hitter Mercy Moim played her best to lead the Kenyan team beat Senegal 3-0 (25-21, 28-26, 25-15) in Pool B of the 2017 Women's African Nations Championship at Palais des Sports in Yaoundé, Cameroon on Sunday.

 

Miom and Edith Mukuvulani led the match scorers with 15 points, while Sow Binetou led Senegal with 12 points.  

 

 After Kenya won the first set, the crucial moments of the match came when Senegal was ahead 24-19 in the second set before Moim and Brackcides Khadambi did their best to survive and won the set 28-26. The highly spirited Kenyan team went easily to overcome widely 25-15 in the third set to capture the second win raising their record to 2-0, While Senegal dropped to 1-1.
