Kenya through to Women's African Nations Championship's final

Yaoundé, Cameroon, October 13, 2017- Kenya qualified to the final of the 2017 Women's African Nations Championship following their decisive victory over Egypt 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-19) in the semifinal match held at Palais des Sports Hall in Yaoundé, Cameroon on Friday.

 

 Middle blocker Edith Wisa played a great role in the victory with her good kill blocks and quick attacks where she scored 14 points as the best nher side followed by outside hitter Mercy Moim 13. Egypt's Aya Elshamy led Egypt and match scorers with 15 points.

 

 Egypt began the match as the better side and led frequently using the attacks of Elshamy the center Aya Ahmed, but quickly the Kenyan used their blockers to spike the quick attacks to survive frequent times in the first set before they won 25-23.

 

 Kenya used the service as well as the combinations led by Jane Wacu to led steadily in the second and third sets to win both and the match in straight sets
