Egypt crush Rwanda in straight sets to clinch last semifinal berth

 Cairo, Egypt, October 26, 2017- Egypt clinched the last Semifinal spot in the 2017 Men's African Nations Championship after they crushed Rwanda 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-14) at Cairo Stadium Complex in Egypt on Thursday.

 

 Egypt qualified for the semifinal to combat Cameroon on Friday, while Rwanda play Libya for the 5 to 8 positions.

 

 The Egyptian team started the match with the full power and succeeded to dominate the first set through the services of Ahmed Salah and Abdalla Abdelsalam. In the second set Rwanda started better through the spikes of Mutabazi and the solid block they deployed to lead several times before Egypt again recovered to win the difficult set. In the third set the Egyptian coach Marcos Miranda changed most of the standing players but however, they continued to the same rhythm to win 25-14 and the match in straight sets.
