Rwanda surprise Libya in epic tiebreaker

 Cairo, Egypt, October 27, 2017- Rwanda came back on time to beat Libya 3-2 (25-19, 25-18, 12-25, 24-26, 15-13) in the ply off 5 to 8 places in the 2017 Men's African Nations Championship at Cairo Stadium Complex in Egypt on Friday.


 Rwanda qualified to play for the 5th position which they finished 2 years ago in the last edition, while Libya play for the 7th place.


 Rwanda swept their opponent in the first and second sets with their powerful attacks and tight services before the team started to commit some mistakes and allow the Libyan team to come back aggressively and draw 2-2.


 In the tiebreak Rwanda regained their rhythm to win narrowly 15-13 in front of their excited spectators.
