Egypt and Tunisia to vie for the African Championship's title

 Cairo, Egypt, October 28, 2017- Once more Egypt meet Tunisia in another African derby to determine the winner of the 2017 Men's African nations Championship after both teams already captured their tickets at the 2018 FIVB Men's World championship following their qualification to the final early on Friday.

 

 The final will be held in Cairo Stadium Complex on Sunday at 21:00 local time. The 2 finalists have 80% of African titles under their name as they won a totl of 16 titles in the 20 editions completed till now. Egypt won the title 8 times in 1976, 1983, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.

 

 Tunisia captured the trophy also 8 times in 1967, 1979, 1987, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2003.

 

The African powerhouses met 10 times in the final before with Egypt gaining 6 victories against 4 for the Tunisian team.

 

Cameroon will battle it out against Algeria for the bronze Medal and the third ticket to the 2018 FIVB World Championship.

 

 The 2017 Men's African championship doubles also as 2018 World Championship qualifiers where the top three African teams book their tickets to represent Africa in the FIVB Prestigious championship

9-10 places: Ghana v Kenya 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-20). More
